HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES

The ONLY Health & Safety company to make a hazardous substance plan in accordance with legislation.

New hazardous substances regulations came into effect in December 2017. While most of the regulations were housed in the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, the transfer to the Health and Safety at Work Act is significant as now regulations for hazardous substances comes under WorkSafe jurisdiction, who then has the power to enforce and prosecute. For health & safety the farmer is now subject to the;

 Health and Safety at Work Act 2015; 189 pages.
 Health and Safety at Work (General Risk and Workplace Management) Regulations 2016; 31 pages, and
 Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017. 565 pages.

For the benefit of the farmer, Workable Farm Safety has developed a system that makes
compliance with the law easy. We can:

 Organise the hazardous substance inventory,
 Apply the requirements associated with every substance listed on the inventory,
 Develop a farm-specific emergency response plan,
 Assess and order relevant signage,
 Provide waterproof templates and forms for hassle-free compliance.

Developing a hazardous substance safety plan is part of the Workable Farm Safety package.
